STORRS, CT (April 4) – The Connecticut rowing team’s varsity four led off the day racing with a solid performance defeating Rutgers by 5.4 seconds. The UConn four’s line-up of Jenn Rogers, Ashley Cruz, Heather Cannon, Adrienne Cizik and coxswain Sam Bond led Rutgers from the start.

The Huskies second varsity eight rowed extremely well in a 0.6 second loss to Rutgers. The boats raced evenly to the final stroke of the 2,000 meter course. The UConn line-up of: stroke Alison Elmo, Val Voorhees, Brooke Grauer, Tina Spagnoli, Heather Ferrick, Kristy Dahlstrom, Erin Bartie, Jodi Hope, and coxswain Liz Glomb is looking forward to facing Rutgers again at the Big East Championship later in the month.

The varsity eight and novice eight respectively lost to Rutgers. The varsity eight line-up of stroke features Christina Cotter, Niki DeCambra, Katie Devonshuk, Steph Chivers, Tracy Mulligan, Caroline Baker, Briana Blood, and coxswain Abbey Off. The Novice 8 line-up consists of stroke Sarah Carlson, Kali Garges, Nicole Rapp, Bethany Caron, Kyle Hunchack, Erin Anderson, Kristine Folkerts, and coxswain Gabbey LaChance.
