Varsity Four Finishes Second At Rollins Invitational

WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 5) -- The University of Connecticut women's rowing team opened its spring 2005 season on Saturday with a second place finish in the varsity four at the Rollins Invitational. The varsity four was the only boat to race for UConn in the event.

Nova Southeastern won the race in a time of 7:19.2 followed by UConn at 7:29. The field was completed by Central Florida in 7:34.3, Embry Riddle at 7:50.1 and Stetson at 7:52.3.

UConn returns to action next Saturday with an exhibition match against Syracuse in Melbourne, Fla.
