PHILADELPHIA (March 25) -- The UConn women's rowing teams registered four
wins in five races on Friday morning against St. Joseph's.
The Huskies were defeated by the Hawks in the Freshman Four, but came back
to win the next four races -- Freshman Eight, Junior Varsity Eight, Varsity
Four and Varsity Eight.
St. Joseph's had a 8:01.8 time in the Freshman Four while UConn was 8:28.4.
In the Freshman Eight, UConn came in at 7:03.3 while St. Joseph's 7:09.6. In
the Junior Varsity Eight, UConn was 6:51.8 while St. Joseph's came in at
7:32.6. In the Varsity Four, UConn was 7:33.2 while St. Joseph's was 7:59.9. In
the final race of the morning, UConn was 6:32.2 in the Varsity Eight, while St.
Joseph's was 6:36.4.
UConn returns to action on Saturday, April 2, at the Yankee Cup in Kingston,
R.I.
