A Tour of the Mark R. Shenkman Training Center

Thanks to alumnus Mark R. Shenkman, the University of Connecticut now joins the ranks of major universities with an indoor training facility that is utilized by the football program, recreational services and other varsity sports. The Mark R. Shenkman Training Center opened in the summer of 2006.

Mark R. Shenkman Training Center

The Mark R. Shenkman Training Center opened in the summer of 2006 and is used by the UConn football program, other athletic teams and the student recreation program.

At night, the Mark. R. Shenkman Training Center provide a memorable view on the Storrs campus.

The UConn football team utilizes the 120-yard FieldTurf playing surface of the Mark R. Shenkman Training Center.

The Mark R. Shenkman Training Center has a 45-foot high catwalk that allows for instant video taping of Husky practices.

The Mark R. Shenkman Training Center has a roof that reaches of peak of 95 feet, which allows for active kicking and punting during practice.
 

The Mark R. Shenkman Training Center has an 18,000 square foot strength and conditioning area which is among the most technologically advanced in the country.
