Athletic Training Graduate Assistant Open Application

Applications for athletic training graduate assistant positions for each fall semester will be accepted from November 1st to mid-January. Openings will also be posted on the NATA Job Placement Vacancy page.

Description: Work as an ATC under the supervision of staff athletic trainers in providing care and coverage to Division I student-athletes in the Division of Athletics.  Assist in the supervision and instruction of student athletic trainers.  Benefits include a $18,800 stipend, tuition and book waiver, and full medical benefits.

Qualifications: Prospective students must be NATABOC certified or eligible to sit for the examination.  Students must be admissible in non-provisional status to the University of Connecticut Graduate School.  A minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and a minimum score of 1000 on the GRE are required for applying.

Graduate programs: Applicants can choose to earn a degree from any academic program whose requirements allow applicant to fulfill the demanding duties of this GA.  Such programs include Kinesiology (Athletic Training, some Exercise Physiology programs), Allied Health, Education (Adult Learning or Curriculum and Instruction), and Nutrition.

Dates of service: The starting date is August 1 and the ending date is June 1 of the school year.

Benefits: Full tuition and book waiver, yearly stipend of $18,800, plus full medical benefits.
