Baseball Falls 4-0 To Lamar
BEAUMONT, Texas (March 4, 2006) - The University of Connecticut baseball team fell to the Cardinals of Lamar University, 4-0, on Saturday evening at Vincent-Beck Stadium. Lamar’s William Delage threw a complete-game, two-hit shutout in game four of the Lamar Classic to defeat UConn. With the loss, the Huskies drop to 3-2 on the season while Lamar improves to 9-6.

Wasserman Slugs Baseball To 6-3 Victory Over New Orleans
BEAUMONT, Texas (March 3, 2006) - Senior co-captain Tim Norton (Pasquog, R.I.) picked up his first win of the season as the Huskies defeated New Orleans 6-3 on Friday afternoon. Norton went seven innings with two hits and nine strikeouts to lead the Huskies to their third consecutive victory this season in the first day of the Lamar Classic. With the win, Connecticut improves to 3-1 while the Privateers dropped to 6-7.

Wasserman Earns BIG EAST Baseball Honor
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (February 27, 2006) - Senior Austin Wasserman (Nashua, N.H.) was recognized by the BIG EAST on Monday afternoon for his stellar play in the Huskies' season-opening weekend. Wasserman was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll after going 4-for-5 with 5 RBI and a home run in Connecticut's 9-1 victory over Florida Atlantic on Sunday morning.
