Softball Drops Two In Final Day Of Action At Buzz Classic
MARIETTA, Ga. (March 4, 2006) - The University of Connecticut softball team wrapped up play at the 14th Annual Atlanta Marriott Buzz Classic, hosted by Georgia Tech, on Saturday afternoon. The Huskies (2-3) fell to Georgia Tech, 4-0, to open the day, but came back to defeat East Tennessee State, 5-1, to advance to bracket play. UConn, the No. 11 seed in the bracket, fell to the University of Virginia, 5-1, in their final game of the tournament on Saturday evening.

Softball Opens Season With Split At Buzz Classic
MARIETTA, Ga. (March 3, 2006) - The University of Connecticut softball team opened the 2006 season by splitting the first day of action at the 14th Annual Atlanta Marriott Buzz Classic, hosted by Georgia Tech, on Friday evening. The Huskies won the first game by defeating Marshall, 14-4, but fell in the second game, 12-2, to Austin Peay.

Softball Set To Open Season Friday At Georgia Tech
STORRS, Conn. (March 2, 2006) - Despite the loss of seven seniors to graduation, the 2006 University of Connecticut softball team will look to a solid core of veterans and a talented freshman class in order to return to the top of the BIG EAST Conference. A focused, talented group, the Huskies will open the 2006 season on Friday at the Georgia Tech Buzz Classic. UConn's first game of the season will be against Marshall at 6:00 p.m. and the Huskies will also face Austin Peay at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.

Softball Clinic Postponed Due To Weather
STORRS, Conn. (February 10, 2006) - Due to inclement weather expected in the area, the free hitting and pitching youth clinic hosted by the University of Connecticut softball team that was scheduled for this weekend has been moved to Sunday, Feb. 26.
