Golf Closes Out Point Loma/Smee Builders Invitational In 11th Place

JAMUL, Calif. (March 7, 2006) - The University of Connecticut golf team finished in 11th place of 18 teams as the Point Loma/Smee Builders Invitational concluded on Tuesday. UConn shot a three-day total of 939 (320-311-308) in the event while CSU-Stanislaus captured the title with a three-round score of 882 (291-289-302) in the 18-team event. The UConn ‘B’ team, also competing in the tournament, finished 13th with a three-round total of 981 (334-323-324).

Jason Parajeckas Named Golfweek Player of the Week

STORRS, Conn. (October 24, 2005) - University of Connecticut junior Jason Parajeckas (Woburn, Mass.) was named National Men's Player of the Week by Golfweek magazine on Monday afternoon following his two tournament wins for the week of Oct. 17-23. He is the first Husky to earn the honor.
