First Season

Melynda Zwick enters her first year as an assistant
lacrosse coach at the University of Connecticut after playing for four years at
the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
While at UMass, Zwick led her team to two Atlantic 10
tournament appearances. During her senior year, she captained her team to the
finals game of the A10 tournament. Over her career she tallied 100 total points
on 60 goals and 40 assists compiling 11 multi-goal games, 17 multi-point games
and five hat tricks. During her junior and senior years she ranked second on her
team in points as well as the third leading scorer.
Throughout college during the summer, Zwick also worked at
a variety of camps. Last summer, she worked under Kelly Amonte at the
Northwestern lacrosse camps with McMahon. She also served as a first assistant
to the camp director at the Nike Lacrosse Camp in Lawrenceville, N.J. where she
planned activities, set up a daily schedule for all of the campers, and provided
guidance for participants aged 8-17 for the last three years. In her home state
of Pennsylvania, Zwick assisted at numerous high school camps as an assistant
camp director for the last six years and worked at the 180 Lacrosse School in
Amherst, Mass over the last two summers.
Zwick recently graduated from UMass Amherst with a Bachelor
of Science degree in natural science of geology, earth track. |
