Women's Soccer Inks Three to National Letters of Intent
STORRS, Conn. (February 13, 2006) - The University of Connecticut women’s soccer program has signed three student-athletes to National Letters of Intent for the 2006-07 school year as announced by head coach Len Tsantiris on Monday, Feb. 13. Midfielder/forward Brianna Gray (Barrington, N.H.), midfielder Annie Yi (Indianapolis, Ind.) and defender Lauren Ebert (Hillsborough, N.J.) comprise the 2006 class. With the graduation of eight seniors, Coach Tsantiris believes that these three players will make an immediate impact and help fill the void left by the graduating seniors.

Barnes To Receive CJSA Coaching Award

(January 27, 2006) - University of Connecticut women's soccer assistant coach Sarah Barnes is being will be honored at the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association President's Dinner on Friday night. Barnes will be the recipient of the Thomas E. Krusewski Memorial Young Coach of the Year award for her contributions and dedication to the program.

Three Huskies To Compete In CONCACAF World Cup Tournament
CORDOBA, Mexico (January 18, 2006) - CORDOBA, Mexico (January 18, 2006) - University of Connecticut women’s soccer team members Brittany Taylor (Campbell Hall, N.Y.), Stephanie Labbe (Stony Plain, Alberta) and Katie Radchuck (Halifax, Nova Scotia) are currently competing in the U-20 Women’s National Team CONCACAF qualifying tournament in Mexico. The nine-day tournament, which began on Wednesday, will be held in Veracruz at Luis Pirata Fuentes Stadium and in Cordoba at Rafael Murillo Vidal Stadium. Taylor will be playing for the U.S. National team as an outside back while Labbe, a goalkeeper, and Radchuck, a defender, will be playing for the Canadian National team. Also competing in the tournament will be Jamaica, Surinam, El Salvador, Mexico, Panama and Trinidad & Tobago.
